Note: When using a miniSIM instead of the built-in SIM, the APN must be set to secure the connectivity.

This release replaces 2.10.0 because of a bug in the modem types uBlox L210 and L201.

2.10.0 can still be used if you know that other modem types are used in your units.

If you already uses 2.10.0 and are unsure about the modem, please update to this version.

Please also read the release notes for 2.10.0.

Improvements:

  • Workaround for uBlox modems which may freeze when connecting to 3G networks.

Most cellular networks are currently under reconstruction because of implementation of 5G, and the sunset of 2G and 3G technologies, which has affected the behaviour of the networks.

This firmware version includes improvements we have seen to help in many cases, and we strongly recommend an update.

Improvements:

  • Major redesign of the modem handling

  • Operator can select between "2G+3G+4G", "2G+4G" or "4G only" on most modems

  • Visibility on warnings/errors

  • Minor other changes

  • Reboots automatically to restore functionality in case of sampling system failure (error code 83)

  • Prepared to solve an issue where INFRA Net fails to see when a lost sensor is back again. Still, at this date, the INFRA Net part of this is not released
