Mounting INFRA C22 and INFRA C20

Guide on how to mount the INFRA C20 and INFRA C22.
  • When you are going to mount a measuring device, it is important that the measuring device must be placed horizontal and not differ more than five degrees from horizontal plane. If you measure triaxial then it should be less than one degree to avoid false measurement.

  • The device should be placed on a solid material to be able to give reliable measurement values.

  • For vibration sensors tightening torque should be 6 Nm.

Using Expansion Plug

  1. Identify an even surface where the C22 can be mounted.

  2. Drill for the fastener (e.g. a concrete anchor).

  3. Insert fastener.

  4. Screw a nut to the head of the bolt, keep it loose but close to head of the screw.

  5. Attach a washer to the bolt/nut.

It is important that the nut is placed on the bolt first and then the washer. mountingc22_new01

  6. Insert the bolt through the center hole of the C22 and screw the bolt into the anchor (C22 hanging loose).

  7. Hold the head of the bolt still with one tool and use an appropriate tool to tighten the nut to secure the C22 to the wall.

The mounting hole diameter must be 17/64” / 8 mm and be drilled 1,5”/ 40 mm deep.

If the wall or ground is not completely flat, you can adjust one or two of the mounting screws to ensure all three have full contact with the wall. You need a T30 Torx tool to loosen the mounting screws.

Note! Mounting the C22 unit upright to concrete can be achieved the same way by dropping the sensor bolt through the top of the unit instead of through the side.

Check that the round plastic cap is inserted into the hole at the lid to keep water out and prevent ice build-up.

Note! The instrument must not be submerged in water.

Using Ground Spike

  1. Remove the plug from the top of the unit. This will allow you to drop the sensor bolt through the C22. mountingc22_01

  2. Drop the sensor bolt through the top of the C22. mountingc22_02

It is important that the nut is placed on the bolt first and then the washer.

  3. Now attach the ground spike to the bottom of the C22 via the sensor bolt. Continue to thread the ground spike until it can no longer be threaded.

Note! The ground spike may not be flush with the bottom of the unit, this is okay for now. mountingc22_03

  4. Now, the ground spike can be tightened and secured to the unit by tightening the nut on the sensor bolt at the top of the unit.

Once tightened, the ground spike should be flush with the bottom of the unit.

  1. The unit is now ready to be mounted in the ground.
